This will decrease cost for organized sporting events and provide an affordable means for the novice to keep score while, through use of specialized sound effects, creating a stadium-type atmosphere. The Universal Scoreboard is software based, able to run on any laptop, and can be displayed on any projector or screen as long as it supports the video resolution of the PC. The scoreboard is specially designed using music, crowd sounds, and other effects to provide more of a stadium atmosphere during home game play. In addition, the scoreboard will show live video of game play on the screen to provide all spectators with front row viewing capabilities. The designed also allows it to be used with a variety of games such as air hockey, tabletop games, as well as at small scale gymnasium sporting events. Additionally, the modular approach of the design will allow easy expansion and customization for other games.
